What should I do if I can’t find the test I’m looking for?

We have access to thousands of tests, many we don't post online. If you are seeking a specific test, you can build your own test panel. If the test is available, we will respond with your requested test(s). Back to Top

I want to order for someone else. What do I do?

Follow the following instructions if you are ordering lab test for other people:

  • When opening an account, the person you are ordering the test for goes in the "shipping information". Your information goes in the the billing section when asked.
  • If you are ordering for multiple persons or have an existing account and need to order tests for another, enter their information in the "additional comments" box during the checkout process:

Are there Tax and/or Shipping Fees?

Shipping is free in the USA and in the UK category. Fees to other countries may apply. Contact us to check shipping cost in your country.

How do I know if I am receiving a test kit or a requisition form?

You can find your type (test kit or Labcorp® requisition form) at the bottom of the test description next to "Specimen Type" (see example). You can then find your most reliable draw location.

 

Do I need to see my healthcare provider to get tested?

Direct access testing allows greater participation in one's own healthcare. Yes, your healthcare provider can refer you to True Health Labs, but it’s not a requirement. You can feel secure that True Health Labs uses the same labs as healthcare providers and hospitals, which are CLIA-certified and regulated by appropriate governmental agencies. True Health Labs also uses other specialty laboratories. Back to Top

 

What is the testing procedure?

Processed by Labcorp® (see example): After choosing your lab tests, you will receive your requisition form (via email). Take the form to a local patient service center for your draw by a certified phlebotomist.

The results will be emailed to you the day we receive them. Depending on the complexity of the test, results can take 1-4 days.

Test Kits (see example): After you order your tests online, you will receive your test kit(s) and requisition form(s) via mail 3-5 days after your order. The exclusion is Cyrex tests in which you will receive the requisition form by email.

Check the requsition form for errors. If asked, check the box(s) for "bill physicain" (no siganature is required).  Review draw locations if a blood sample is needed.

Can I order tests in my state or country?

**Tests processed by Labcorp® can NOT be run in the state of CA, NY, NJ, MA, MD, RI, or outside the USA. You can order the test then travel to a nearby state to have the tests completed.

Look at the test descriptions (example) to see if Labcorp is processing your test.

Many of our test kits (see test descriptions under "Specimen Type") CAN be ordered in the above states and countries (New York is restricted for all). You must contact us if you need testing outside the US or UK to determine if testing is avaliable.  

Only tests in the UK category are avaliable to UK customers. You can change the currency converter on the top right side of the test page to see the cost in pounds. Back to Top

Is there a draw fee?

First, check to see who is processing your test (example).

If your test is processed by Labcorp®, there is no draw fee at their locations.

For Cyrex test kits, there is no draw fee at Concentra Urgent Care Centers (fees apply to those under 15 years of age).

Should I fast before taking the test?

It depends on the test. It is recommended that you avoid food for 10-12 hours when testing for glucose, cholesterol, and triglycerides (fasting instructions are indicated on each test discretion). Water is permitted during your fast. Back to Top

 

How reliable are the results?

We use the leading national laboratories, which are fully accredited. These are the same labs your healthcare provider uses. We also use the leading laboratories in alternative medicine to give you and your healthcare provider(s) maximum treatment options. Back to Top

 

Are my results confidential?

Absolutely. We respect your privacy and maintain confidentiality. You are the only one who receives the results (email or fax). Not even your insurance company will obtain results from True Health Labs and/or its associates. Back to Top

 

When will I receive the results?

Your resutls will be emailed to you to day True Health Labs receive them. Turnaround times can range from 1-4 days depending on the tests ordered. Some advanced test can take upwards of 14 day. Back to Top

 

What if I receive an abnormal result?

Abnormalities should be considered an early warning, but do not necessarily mean you have an illness or disease. We strongly recommend you discuss the results with your healthcare provider for evaluation, further testing and diagnosis. To save on lab cost, it is recommend that you get a list of tests your healthcare provider suggests then return to our site. Back to Top

 

Will I be able to understand the results?

Some results may be self-explanatory such as those that are "high" or "low". Many tests also have "functional ranges" which can help identify more subtle changes that could be detrimental to your health. Will my healthcare provider receive a copy of my results?

We deal directly and confidentially with you, and send the results to you. You will be able to print out your results and take them to you healthcare practitioner. Back to Top

 

Does Medicare cover my tests?

True Health Labs has negotiated discounted cash prices with the laboratories, therefore, labs can not be submitted to Medicare.  Back to Top

 

Are my tests covered by my insurance?

True Health Lab has negotiated discounted cash prices with our laboratories and passes the savings on to you, therefore, insurance companies will not cover these tests. When insurance is used, any abnorml results are reported to your insurance company and therfore becomes part of your medical records. They do not get reported using our direct-access testing. Can I cancel my order?

You may cancel prior to the specimen collection with a refund equal to the price of the total order less 10% cancellation fee, if canceled within four (4) months from date of order.


There is no cancellation refund after four (4) months unless other arrangements are made before the four (4) month cut-off date.
