Thyroid Antibodies with Thyroid Hormones

The most common cause of an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) is an autoimmune condition called Hashimoto's. Since testing for Hashimoto's is not standard, it is rarely tests for. This blood test includes not only a TSH test but also thyroid hormones like free t4 and free t3 ("free" meaning unbound to protein).

Also included in this test panel is both TPO antibodies and TGB antibodies. These test screen for the antibodies responsible in autoimmune Hashimoto's Disease.

Would have cost me over $600!
