Perspective Health Test
An In-Depth Screen for Inflammation, Oxidative Stress, Adrenal Fatigue, Blood Sugar, and Food Allergies
Every day our environment becomes more and more toxic. The good news is that our bodies can bounce back from a certain amount of toxic exposure. However, slowly over time our resilience to our environment becomes less and less. This can go on for many years before symptoms ever show up. We now have a health screening test that looks at 5 areas that are known to significantly impact our health- Inflammation, oxidative stress, adrenal fatigue, blood sugar, and food allergies.
Inflammation- CRP Blood Test
Inflammation has been called the “silent killer” because it can continue for years without any symptoms. However, inflammation is very important. Inflammation is the healing response. However, chronic inflammation has been linked to heart disease, stroke, brain damage, cancer, aging and practically every other chronic illness.
This test looks at the most important aspects of inflammation, C-Reactive Protein or CRP. C-Reactive Protein is a protein that is release in the presence of inflammation. CRP can be retested over time to monitor improvements.
Oxidative Stress
Most people have heard of oxidative stress and have been told they need to take their “anti-oxidants” to combat it. But what is oxidative stress? First, oxidation is crucial for our survival. Oxidation is needed for our bodies to make energy. However, too much of a good thing can be bad. As oxidative stress builds up due to toxic exposure, inactivity, nutritional deficiencies, blood sugar imbalances, and mental stress, it begins to damage the very cell in the body.
This test looks at the king of anti-oxidants, glutathione. Low levels of glutathione may indicate a high level of oxidative stress.
Adrenal Fatigue
On top of your kidneys lay your adrenal glands. They release a hormone call cortisol (“fight or flight” hormone) in time of stress or fasting (i.e. overnight). Cortisol helps raise blood sugar when stressed (mental, physical, infections, dehydration). Like any gland, if it is overworked, it fatigues. Without optimal cortisol levels, everything from our DNA to our immune system is negativity impacted.
This cortisol saliva test looks at cortisol levels at 4 points during the day. Low levels could indicate adrenal fatigue.
Blood Sugar Test
Elevated fasting blood sugar is linked to heart disease, diabetes, stroke, cancers and other dysfunctions. This test screens for any elevation in blood sugar levels.
Food Allergy Testing
We are all familiar with the kid who is allergic to peanuts. However, the fact is that most food allergies are delayed 24-72 hours and have long lasting health impacts with very little symptoms.
This food allergy test included with this panel looks at the 15 most common food allergies. Learn more about our 88 food allergy test panel.
What Do I Do with My Test Results
